Rachel Bilson was born in Los Angeles
Born in Los Angeles, California on August 25, 1981, Rachel Sarah Bilson is an American actress, and became popular for playing Summer Roberts in “OC”, a TV series. Her father is Danny Bilson who is a writer and director. Bilson went to school in Walter Reed Middle School in 1996, and Notre Dame High School in 1999. It was while she was at Notre Dame that she was invited to appear in “Bye Bye Birdie”, “Once Upon a Mattress”, and “The Crucible”. Before these productions, however, she acted in “The Wrong Guys”, with comedian Louie Anderson, which her parents helped her get, seeing that she was smitten by acting. Rachel continued to audition for roles during her early years at Notre Dame High School.
Rachel Bilson was first initiated into acting in early 2003, where she guest starred in episodes of “Buffy the Vampire Slayer”, “8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter”, and in the short film, Unbroken. After that she landed a regular job with the “OC” cast. She was supposed to appear only in a few episodes, but because the show was successful, she was elevated to that of a regular. Her co-star in the series, Adam Brody, is her boyfriend.

Teenage audiences identify with Bilson, especially after her success in “OC.” She made it to Maxim Magazine’s “100 Hot List” in 2005. Bilson collected three more awards after that: “Choice Hottie Female”, “Choice TV Actress (Drama)” and “Best Onscreen TV Chemistry” (which she won jointly with her real life boyfriend Adam Brody). Her first film will be “The Last Kiss”, a romantic comedy wherein she will be featured with stars Zach Braff and Jacinda Barrett. October 2006 is the target date for the film’s release.
Bilson is said to have purchased Rose McGowan’s home in Hollywood Hills costing $1.2 million.
Wearing outfits designed by Thakoon and Marc Jacobs, Bilson is described as having a keen fashion sense.
Bilson also played a mini role in the miniseries “Human Target” which was a small role, but this served as inspiration for Bilson to go into full-time acting. She hired an agent who put her in touch with the right people so she could get one foot into the door.
